Aim: To look at different kitchen ingredients in scones and their effects.

In groups of 4 you will:
  • Make 4 types of scone. 
  • Normal plus 3 others 
  1. No butter, 
  2. No Baking Powder
  3. No milk 
  4. With Lemonade
  5. With Baking Soda

Recipe:


Normal
  • 1/2 cup Edmonds standard flour
1 tsp Edmonds baking powder  or 1 tsp baking soda

Recipe for a normal scone 

  1. Milk
  2. Baking powder
  3. flour
  4. butter                                                   

Lemonade scone
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1/4 cup milk, approximately or 1/4 cup lemonade

Recipe for the lemon scone

  1. Lemonade
  2. baking soda
  3. butter
  4. Flour

Materials:

1. I cream Container
2. Plastic spoon 
3. Water 
4. Milk
5. Butter
6. Baking powder
7. Baking soda
8. Oven

Process

Step 1: Put 1 teaspoon of baking powder in the ice cream container
Step 2: Add 10 gram of butter
Step 3: Add milk
Step 4:  Mixed all of that 
Step 5: Round it to a circle 
Step 6: Cook it

Conclusion: All the scone were cooked for 10 minutes and they were cooked at 200 Celcius. The normal scone tastes like a bit creamy at the start but then when you keep chewing it taste like nothing anymore. The second one without the baking soda taste bitter and the middle was raw, it also taste like paper at the end. The final scone was not so good because it taste a little bit of coke  and mixed with some routen flour.  I will say that all the scone was 1 out of 10
