Community impact project (C.I.P) Tane Mahuta

Every Wednesday we go outside to do something in our garden. We sometimes plant some vegetable so that when it grows we have something to eat. We are trying to fix the back of the school so that we can plant trees and other plants that we can grow to save the environment.

We are trying to clean the back of the school because we would like to build an outdoor classroom for learning or free time. We started moving the object inside the greenhouse so that we can make some room for the new furniture. We also draw a plan for the new outdoor classroom, so that when the area is clean we can start designing.

The people that don't want to help us, move to the other side of the field and they remove the old tires that were used for gardening. We have been doing Tane Mahuta for about 4 weeks now, we hope that before we change to another CIP we can finish the project that we want.

  1. Kamusta Lars!

I am looking at CIP blogs for "It's Cool to be Kind" but was interested in reading what you guys are up to in Tane Mahuta! It sounds like you are hard at work making our school more beautiful and helping with the garden.

What is your favourite part of the CIP?

  2. Thank you Miss Birtch, My favourite part of the CIP is doing gardening. I really like gardening because last time when I was in the philippines my grandmother and I used to do gardening outside her house.
