Bones in the hands- Hurumanu 2

Last week in science we have been learning how do hands work, we made a hand to show you how it works. The hand has lots of parts which are Bones, Joints, Muscles, Tendons, and ligaments. These are all the parts that make your hand move. Bones is really helpful for us human because it helps us provide support. 

How do hands work? The movements of the hand are always started by the muscles in your forearm. Hands have a lot of things that help human beings one is we use our hand to write or hold something that is heavy or not. 

The human hand is made up of the wrist, palm, and fingers and has 27 bones, 27 joints, 34 muscles, and over 100 ligaments, and tendons, and many blood vessels and nerves.

Film study

This week for Film Studies we have been mainly focusing on Camera techniques and different shots that are used in most of the movies or series we watch. To show my learning on this I decided to make it on a slideshow so that you guys can also learn something as well. Film Study Dictionary.

Body Language: 

Body Language is used in the film to convey meaning in a narrative context. It is also used to show how the image is moving and how different body expression can appear in different media. 

Costumes: 

Costumes are used to help actors transform into a new and believable character. 

Hairstyles: 

Hairstyles are almost related to costumes because it’s just the way of turning the person into a new character.

Make-up: 

Make-up is used in the film to enhance the actor’s personality or mood.

Colour: 

Colour is how they make the image colorful, dynamic, and beautiful. 

Lighting: 

Lighting is used in the film to create a visual effect meaning the audience knows where to look. 

Props:

 Props make it more realistic and interesting to watch. 

Settings: 

The setting is often used in the film to show and describe the surroundings.

Dialogue:  

Dialogue is used to make tell a spoken line by a character, it can also be used between real people and fictional characters.

Sound effects: 

Sound effects are used in the film to help deliver important messages. 

Music: 

Music helps people to understand the film and describe a continuous film. 

Silence: 

Silence is used to create a serious mood. 

Symbols: 

Symbols are used to recommend a new Design to do. 

Special FX:

 Special FX helps the creator to make better control.

How does this work show my learning? This shows my learning by knowing all the meaning of the words.

What am I wondering as a result of this learning? The result that I want for this learning is how to used all of the words above in a film.

Algebra in Science

In this hurumanu, we have been learning how to solve algebra and geometry. It is really easy to solve algebra but it sometimes gets difficult when its expressions include at least one variable and at least one operation (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

What I like about this Hurumanu is that we can learn but also played when all the work is finish. I also like how the teacher teaches us because it is really easy to understand.

We showcased our learning of algebra by using the formula of speed. What we did was Velocity=distance / Times.  

Science Experiment, Lemon Power

This day in science is explaining to you guys what is the meaning of voltage and current. So the meaning of voltage is an electromotive force or potential difference express in volts. And the meaning for the current is the flow of charges from positive to Negative. 

Aim: To create voltage out of the lemon.

Method:

• Roll the lemon out so the inside is liquid.
• Stick a piece of zinc and copper into the lemon.
• Connect the lemon up to a voltmeter. 

Result: 

1 voltage

Closer 1 voltage

Opposite 1 voltage

Discussion: When we got the lemon we rolled the lemon so it turns it too liquidy, When we have rolled it out we have to charge these acidic particles. What happens was by rubbing the lemon this creates a current that flows. 

Conclusion: The Experiment work because it moves the voltmeter up to 1 volt, and then for all the lemon it was 2 and a half volts. 

Metal Work

 In Metalwork since last week, we have been making a dog tag from scratch on a computer, it is very easy to create it. We have finished making acrylic and the wood dog tag, we are now about to make the aluminum dog tag.

Should cannabis be legalised?

Should Cannabis be legalized? In my opinion, Cannabis should not be legalized because it will harm the people that are using it. Some effects that will happen to you immediately when you used cannabis are sleepiness, low blood pressure, anxiety, Bloodshot eyes, and a lot more things that can harm you really bad. 

What will the effect of cannabis for a long period of time? The effects of using cannabis for the long term is your breathing will not going to be normal, you will increase the risk of having cancer on your lungs. There are a lot more things that can happen to you when you are using cannabis. 

If you are a pregnant girl and you are smoking cannabis, the Cannabis can be passed on to an unborn baby through the placenta, or to an infant in breast milk. Once that happens that will affect the baby.    

What will the effect of cannabis for a short period of time? There is a lot of things that can happen to you even though you only did it for short period of time. Here are some of the effects that will happen to you.  

• Short-term memory problems
• Severe anxiety, including the fear that one is being watched or followed (paranoia)
• Very strange behavior, seeing, hearing or smelling things that aren’t there, not being able to tell imagination from reality (psychosis)
• Panic
• Hallucinations
• Loss of sense of personal identity
• Lowered reaction time
• Increased heart rate (risk of heart attack)
• Increased risk of stroke
• Problems with coordination (impairing safe driving or playing sports)
• Sexual problems (for males)
• Up to seven times more likely to contract sexually transmitted infections
  than non-users (for females
